Kettlebell training is different than other forms of weight training because many parts of the body are exercised simultaneously, and in addition kettlebell training elevates the heart rate for effective cardiovascular training.
Kettlebells will build long lean muscles, improve strength and power in the upper body, core and lower body and increase co-ordination, joint mobility and overall endurance. Kettlebells provides the ultimate in ‘functional training’. The basics kettlebell drills centre around fundamental human movements such as squatting, lunging, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and twisting. This sort of training will greatly enhance your sports performance and athleticism.
Intense Cardio and Fat Loss
Kettlebells provide a high-intensity training mode that is more effective for fat loss than long, slow steady-state training such as jogging and cycling. This makes kettlebell training ideal for people who get bored with these slow, repetitive training methods and want something more time-efficient.
The benefits of a kettlebell workout:
• Increased endurance
• Rapid fat loss
• Muscular strength without the added bulk
• Increased core stability
• Full-body workout
• Stronger back
• Rehabilitated shoulders
• Mental toughness
• Decreased musculoskeletal pain
• Twice the results in half the time you would spend at the gym
I offer one to one or group personal training, this includes setting short and long term goals, providing nutritional advice and also training programmes should my clients like to train at the gym in between our sessions.
As a PT I would monitor my clients progress and offer any corrections needed for optimisation. As my clients achieve success in the original training program, I would assess the need to increase weight, reps or time objectives and set new goals.
Some people turn to PTs because they struggle with the internal motivation to work out. Trainers usually need a high level of energy to get their clients excited about a workout and to help push them through more challenging exercises. As clients see success in their personal fitness goals their individual level of motivation increases.
